EBITDAI Is Now Powered by Kimi and DeepSeek: Your AI, No Usage Fees

We rebuilt EBITDAI around a simple idea: you bring the AI account, we bring the analyst. Connect a flat-rate Kimi plan or a pay-as-you-go DeepSeek key, and every model you build runs on your own subscription, with EBITDAI itself at one flat price.

Why we changed how EBITDAI is powered

AI-powered Excel tools have a cost problem. Every model you build burns tokens, and someone has to pay for them. Most products solve this with credit systems, tiered caps, or premium plans, which means the meter is always running while you work, and the tools themselves get expensive fast.

We took the opposite path. EBITDAI now connects directly to an AI account you own. If you have a Kimi plan (from $19/month), your modeling runs on it: flat rate, no metering by anyone. Prefer usage-based pricing? Connect a DeepSeek key instead: its rates are so low that a heavy modeling session typically costs a few cents, billed by DeepSeek, not by us.

EBITDAI itself is now three simple plans: Free, Lite at $5/month with 100x more usage than free, on Meta Muse Spark 1.3 Contributor, and Pro at $15/month with 7.5x more usage than Lite across every included model (20% off annually). Pro also carries your own API keys for every provider and the QuickBooks, Campfire and Stripe connectors. That covers the part we're actually good at: turning a frontier AI model into a disciplined financial analyst inside Excel.

What Kimi and DeepSeek actually do here

EBITDAI hands whichever model you connect a full financial-modeling doctrine: decompose every number into assumptions, keep hardcodes out of formulas, respect sign conventions, roll every balance-sheet account forward, and format like a banker: blue inputs, bold subtotals, clean spacing. On top of that sit domain playbooks for debt schedules, working capital, fixed assets, SaaS cohorts, waterfalls, and more, loaded on demand as your model needs them.

In our test suites, Kimi's k3 model passes every scenario we throw at it, from one-sentence SaaS builds to amortizing debt schedules with average-balance interest. DeepSeek is remarkably fast and excels at edits and analysis; for the most complex builds, Kimi currently produces the most doctrine-faithful output, which is why it's our default recommendation.

What this means for your costs

All-in, a heavy EBITDAI user now pays $34/month: the $15 Pro plan (which already includes 7.5x more usage than Lite across every model) plus a $19 Kimi Moderato plan. Both numbers are flat, and Pro adds the QuickBooks, Campfire and Stripe connectors. Compare that with AI Excel offerings that require premium AI plans starting at $100/month, with usage limits on top.

And because your AI account is yours, there's no lock-in: the same key that powers EBITDAI powers your other AI tools, and you can switch providers inside EBITDAI anytime.

    Getting connected takes two minutes

Open EBITDAI in Excel, pick your provider, and paste an API key from the Kimi Code Console or the DeepSeek platform. We verify it with a single test call and you're modeling. Your key stays on your device and is only ever used to talk to your provider on your behalf.
